Books We’re Gifting This Year

Books are some of the best gifts to give. Whether it’s a book you know they’d love, or a personal favorite of your own, there’s something special about watching them open it up and read the synopsis to see what it’s about. Knowing that one day, they’ll crack open the spine and get lost in the pages as they spend time reading it.

Of course, we love to give books as gifts! Here are some books that we’re planning on gifting to our friends and family this year.

“I'll be gifting Olympus, Texas by Stacey Swann. It's written with such heart and passion, both of which bring the story to life. It was as if I was experiencing the same feelings as the characters, which takes talent.” —Gabi LePage, Founder

“I love gifting cookbooks! It feels like such a nice gift that they can use over and over. One of my all-time favorite cookbooks is the Food52 Genius Recipes: 100 Recipes That Will Change the Way You Cook by Kristen Miglore. I've found so many new favorite recipes in that book and I love putting sticky notes on my favorite ones when I gift a new copy to friends or family so I can share with them in that way.” —Michelle Martin, Community Manager

“One book that's stuck with me this year is Under the Whispering Door. TJ Klune is my favorite author, and I love the way he weaves humor into books. I think this is a heartwarming book about grief and second chances, and is one that will stay with you for awhile.” —Lizzy Schmitter, Designer

“I'll be gifting the new Sally Rooney, Beautiful World, Where Are You! I know so many people who would love her work and I need more IRL friends to be Rooney fans.” —Taryn Dennie, Social Media Manager

“I'd definitely gift someone The Nightingale by Kristin Hannnah. I finally read it this year, and it turned out to be one of the best books I've ever read. It's a super touching story and one I think anyone could enjoy!” —Carly Radiske, Email Marketing Strategist

“I’ll be gifting The Last Chance Library by Freya Sampson to my bookish Anglophile friends! (So, basically all of them!) It’s such a heartwarming, any-time-of-the-year read!” —Mackenzie Leavenworth, Outreach Manager

“Most of my friends are obsessed with the Real Housewives franchise, so they will definitely be receiving Not All Diamonds and Rose by Dave Quinn.—Alexis Neuville, Editor

“I am absolutely obsessed with funny, science-based non-fiction and Mary Roach is known for her wit applied to observation. Mary Roach's Fuzz: When Nature Breaks the Law is one that I cannot wait to share with my family who loves nature.” —Renee Watson, Digital Host
